Big names speak up in protest at tax hike

BOOKIES backed the national horse racing strike - saying Rachel Reeves's betting tax grab is a "loser for everyone".

The sport of kings is downing tools on September 10 in protest at the Chancellor's plan to raise racing duty from 15% to 21%.

Analysts say it will cost racing £330million over the first five years.
