PUNTERS cleaned out bookies as hot favourite Galopin Des Champs won his second successive Gold Cup and launched into a champagne and Guinness frenzy.
Jubilant fans partied nose-to-nose in a rammed Guinness Village at Cheltenham racecourse as they necked £ 1.2million worth of booze.
Most of the 68,500 crowd seemed to have backed the super-horse which started the showpiece race the shortest-priced favourite for 20 years and ended it a legend.
