OUR MAN DAN BRAVES THE BINGO - WILL HE CALL 'HAUNTED HOUSE'?
-
I'M sat at table 666 of Britain's most haunted bingo hall, listening to a paranormal investigator tell me about a mystic "bathroom experience".
Suddenly, a shiver crawls up my spine. Did someone step on my grave or has the resident ghost, Fred, made an appearance? I can't say for sure - but I can tell you, dear reader, this place gives me the creeps.
I've been sent to this cursed former cinema to take part in the "world's first" session of supernatural bingo - an effort to attract younger players.
And of course, to report on any encounters with the otherworldly.
My hosts, and my guides through the metaphysical mire, are Camden-based Spectrum Paranormal's dynamic duo Hazel and Dean Williams, who happen to be aunt and nephew.
But back to the bathroom encounter. Dean, who describes himself as a sceptic, announces: "Before our investigation started, I was washing my hands and I heard a man's whistle right in my ear hole.
"I could feel it was more of a gentleman's whizz." Sounds like the work of our old friend Fred who - legend has it - used to play the organ in the giant halls auditorium.
