But Ruben's way is only for ace Dalot

- SIMON MULLOCK

MANCHESTER UNITED defender Diogo Dalot insists that Ruben Amorim's honesty is the best policy for the club.

Amorim has been brutally realistic about the quality of the squad he inherited six months ago and the magnitude of the task he's facing.

The 40-year-old has even questioned whether the job is too big for him, with the Reds set for their worst league finish for 50 years despite the prospect of still qualifying for the Champions League by beating Tottenham in Wednesday night's Europa League final in Bilbao.

Now Dalot has lifted the lid on Amorim's style and has promised the fans that the good times will return once United have ridden out the storm.

Dalot, who believes he is winning his fight to be fit to face Spurs, said: "Personally it hurts a lot when the manager says what he's said.

"But it is just something he is really honest about. He doesn't hide his emotions. He doesn't hide the type of communication he wants to express and that makes him an honest guy, an honest person.
