It's all systems go as Premier League returns to our screens

- JEREMY CROSS

IT’S ALL kicking-off again.

And I don’t just mean the toxic row between Newcastle and Alexander Isak.

I'm talking about the new Premier League season.

A roller-coaster ride of highs and lows, twists and turns, excitement, drama, ecstasy and heartache.

But whatever happens in the next 10 months, let's hope it is a more exciting one than last time around.

Liverpool's stroll to a 20th title was deserving - but dull. While you didn’t have to be a genius to work out which three teams would be relegated.

And the most thrilling aspect of last season was discovering who made the Champions League and Europa League.

Which simply isn’t good enough for the supposed best league on the planet.

But this campaign really could be a classic.

The pressure on manager Arne Slot to keep Liverpool on their perch will be immense.
