MANCHESTER UNITED defender Patrick Dorgu believes he has responded to Ruben Amorim's criticism with his recent performances.

At the end of November, Amorim said he could feel “anxiety” from Dorgu (above) when he picked up the ball, and suggested the Denmark star needed to perform better.

“He needs to be calmer playing the game,” said Amorim to a question about what Dorgu needs to improve. “You can feel the anxiety every time Patrick touches the ball. I can feel the anxiety.”

Following that, Dorgu lost his starting place. He was named on the bench for the next five matches, but was recalled against Aston Villa last weekend.
