SHANE SEES RED

- RICH JONES

SHANE LOWRY was left flying home frustrated after Quail Hollow chewed him up and spat him back out at the US PGA Championship.

But the Irishman departed feeling he played "good golf" as a huge few months lie ahead.

While close friend Rory McIlroy is a four-time winner at the Charlotte, North Carolina course, Lowry feels he just can’t catch a break at the place.

Now he must take stock and regroup with The Open taking place at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland in July and then the Ryder Cup on the horizon in September at Bethpage Black, New York.

Lowry has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks.
