JONES' NAME IN FIRST TEST FRAME
HUW JONES put his name firmly in the Test frame as the Lions made it three from three Down Under - but they had to work for it.
This was no walk in the park for Andy Farrell's men who complained bitterly about the state of the pitch and who were given a proper game by the Waratahs just two weeks out from the first international against the Wallabies.
Farrell accused the home side of dirty tricks and warned there could be more to come from the Aussies.
He claimed the Tahs had deliberately soaked the pitch to blunt the running game his side are trying to perfect on this trip.
But the hosts said there had been a rainstorm on Tuesday.
And Farrell told his side to prepare for the worst from the Wallabies. He said: "We know what's coming and we've got to be ready for anything and adapt.
"The pitch was very wet and that's good tactics by them. The ball's slippy, the breakdown's ferocious enough and the line speed is high octane as well.
