City hitman delivers big blow to Enzo's title bid
IN a time of unprecedented change for Manchester City, Erling Haaland is their one constant.
Pep Guardiola has splashed out £123million in a week to try to halt City's disintegration - but Haaland still knows where the net is.
This was not vintage Haaland and he missed a couple of chances before he weighed in with the all-important second.
This was his 24th strike of City's traumatic campaign and for all the Blues' difficulties, he still scores.
City will be relieved to get over the line and they are still some way below their best. Guardiola gave debuts to two of his three new signings and Abdukodir Khusanov had a total shocker, while Omar Marmoush showed promise. This story is from the January 26, 2025 edition of Daily Star Sunday.
