AUSSIES COMPLETE SERIES WHITEWASH OVER ENGLAND
ENGLAND'S long wait for a victory over Australia continues as the tourists made sure of another Ashes clean sweep with victory at Headingley.
The Green and Gold machine, not at their brilliant best but still a class above, wrapped up the third Test after victories at Wembley and Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium - and in doing so, extended their dominance over their mother nation to a 30th year.
Comfortable winners in a Test that had some bite about it, they were tenacious, solid, and most importantly, together.
They absorbed England's pressure and did enough to shut out a host side that - while showing plenty of heart and grit - has ultimately been clunky and at times one-dimensional. Australia, who were led superbly by one of the best rugby league players on the planet, Harry Grant, opened the scoring inside the opening 10 minutes.
