£40m Mateta deal in works for Amorim

RUBEN AMORIM has been told it will cost Man United £40million to sign Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.

According to reports in France, the Red Devils have already opened talks about taking Mateta (right) to Old Trafford in the summer in a bid to add goals to Amorim’s misfiring Red Devils.

But Palace will demand full value for the Frenchman, 27.

And United’s financial position means they will have to generate cash from player sales before ECT adding significantly to Amorim's squad.
