Jensen grasped cup feat after hug from crying fan... now he wants Hoops double

- BY SCOTT BURNS

ALEXANDER JENSEN knew exactly what Aberdeen's Scottish Cup triumph meant when an emotional fan broke down in tears hugging him.

The Dane was part of the Jimmy Thelin side who stunned Celtic in May to bring the old trophy back to the Granite City for the first time in 35 years.

Jensen knew it was big but it wasn't until he met one particular supporter, who told the defender what it meant to him after a member of his family had died, that he realised just how big.

He said: "I bumped into a fan after the bus parade. I was going out for something to eat with my girlfriend and a friend. This fan came up to me, started to hug me and then started crying. He told me a really close person in his family was a big Aberdeen fan and had just passed away.

"So it was really emotional for the supporters. Then I saw what winning the cup really meant to people.
