Goody hails impact of United's goalscoring subs
-
JIM GOODWIN saluted his super subs Nikolaj Moller and Panutche Camara for opening their Tannadice accounts and firing Dundee United into the next round of the Scottish Cup.
The pair got their first United goals in the second half to see off Championship Ayr United.
Goodwin's team can now look forward to a place in the last 16 after knocking out his former player Scott Brown and his Honest Men.
Goodwin said: "We wanted to bring players on to freshen it up because it was getting a bit flat and pedestrian.
"Thankfully the subs worked out well - they were involved in the goals.
"I'm really pleased for Niko, he's not had enough game time but we know the quality he's got. He's a modern No.9 he holds the ball up well and the thing that has been missing had been the goal.
"He got the goal, it was good play from Ryan Strain and hopefully he can take confidence from it.
