Welsh insist Bellamy is a boyo and not a Bhoy

THE Welsh FA have shut down talk of Craig Bellamy quitting their national team to boss Celtic.

- BY RYAN MCDONALD

Record Sport exclusively revealed last week that Bellamy was one of the top candidates to permanently replace Brendan Rodgers in the Bhoys hotseat.

It’s understood Bellamy's name features high on a shortlist drawn up by Hoops head of football operations Paul Tisdale.

But Welsh FA chief Noel Mooney issued a hands-off warning to the Scottish champions - reminding them the ex-Celts loan striker is under contract until 2028 and has the World Cup in his sights.
