RANGERS have revealed the SPFL have opened up an investigation over the use of smoke bombs by their travelling fans at the opening league game of the season at Motherwell.
It comes in the week the club were fined by UEFA for pyro use before the Champions League qualifying away leg against Club Brugge in Belgium.
The SPFL have already reduced the Ibrox club's ticket allocation the next time they appear in the Premier Sports Cup Final.
