Mats insists Dons must find clinical touch sharpish at home and abroad

- SCOTT BURNS

MATS KNOESTER admits Aberdeen lack a killer instinct.

And the Dutch defender knows it is something they need to find if they want to make an impression in the Conference League group stages and to climb the Premiership table.

Knoester acknowledges the 10-man Dons missed a big opportunity to continue in the Europa League when they crashed 3-0 at FCSB on Thursday night.

Jimmy Thelin's side now have the consolation of group stage football in the Conference League, where they will face Shakhtar Donetsk, Noah and Strasbourg at home and travel to take on Sparta Prague, AEK Athens and AEK Larnaca.

Knoester knows the Dons let FCSB off the hook by not taking their chances before Dons keeper Dimitar Mitopv was beaten three time and that is something they will aim to put right, starting with tomorrow's home clash with Falkirk.
