Under-65s strokes soar in a decade

UNDER-65s are making up a larger proportion of people in Scotland suffering from strokes, a study has found.
The percentage of Scots having a stroke before pension age is up 19.7 per cent in the last 10 years.
The figure for under-45s has also risen, by 8.9 per cent, in the last decade.
There was a fall in the overall number of strokes from 9851 in 2022/23 to 9792 last year.
