Gallagher bros put spats behind them as 70k fans enjoy blistering reunion
AT THE PRINCIPALITY STADIUM ALMOST two decades of public spats were washed away in a blaze of nostalgia last night as Oasis finally reunited in front of 70,000 delirious fans.
Noel and Liam Gallagher staged their first performance together since the band split acrimoniously 16 years ago - and what a gig it was.
The excitement in the crowd reached fever pitch as the start of the concert neared.
Then came the moment millions of people around the world had all been waiting for - Oasis walked on stage to absolute ecstasy.
Images of all the headlines about the long-awaited reunion flashed up behind them, followed by the words: “This is not a drill.”
And the crowd went wild as Liam told them: “Good vibes in the area.”
The band then launched into Hello, followed by Acquiesce.
Afterwards, Liam added: “Yes beautiful people, too long.”
He later joked the mosh pit were “still on glue” as hits like Morning Glory and Some Might Say followed.
Fans had flocked from around the globe to witness the long-awaited moment at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Lachlan Weekes and Jayden Helm travelled for more than a day from Sydney, Australia, to the Welsh capital to see their favourite band.
Lachlan said: “We have been planning it forever.
"We always said that if they got back together, we'd be at that first show.”
