Greek smash-and-grab has the Tartan Army dreaming of finals ahead of Belarus battle
-
THE Greeks must still be scratching their heads and wondering how they ended up losing 3-1 at Hampden on Thursday night.
Even great minds such as Plato and Socrates would be at a loss to explain how Steve Clarke's men picked themselves up off the canvas to defeat a side who had been completely outplaying them.
The three points were almost as undeserved as Donald Trump's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize but the Tartan Army won't be worrying too much about that if they get to march on America next summer.
And if Scotland do make it to a first World Cup Finals since 1998 I'm hoping a few fans honour Janey Godley’s memory but reprising her most famous banner about the pompous president.
There's still a bit of work to do before we dig out the passports and delete any disparaging social media comments that might lead to a custom official wearing a red baseball cap approaching us with rubber gloves and gleeful grin.
