THE children of a Scot who was found dead at her home in France in a suspected murder-suicide have called on people not to attend the funeral of their stepdad, who is believed to have killed her.

- BY RYAN CARROLL

Andrew Searle and his wife Dawn Kerr died at their house in Les Pesquies, near Villefranche-de-Rouergue.

The bodies of Searle, 62, and Dawn, 56, were discovered on February 6 after neighbours became concerned.

Dawn, who was originally from Musselburgh, Midlothian, was found lying outside the front door with jewellery scattered around her, while furniture was flipped over inside the property.

Searle was found dead and it was initially believed the couple had been attacked in a robbery.

But detectives soon suspected that Searle had killed Dawn before killing himself.
