It's a pain but Jack still brought world of hurt

- BY STUART BATHGATE

SCOTLAND defence coach Lee Radford has revealed No.8 Jack Dempsey played way past the pain barrier in last weekend's massive win over France.

And Dempsey is set to do the same on Saturday as the team go for Six Nations glory against Ireland in Dublin.

The 31-year-old Glasgow forward was expected to sit out the rest of this year's Championship after he ripped a biceps in the round two victory over England.

He missed the next match against Wales but was back for the 50-40 defeat of the French at Murrayfield - even if far from fully recovered.

Radford said: "He'd seen a couple of specialists and the feedback was it would be tough (to come back so soon).
