Saints ready to go marching in

WE'RE only two games into the Championship campaign but St Johnstone already look in great shape for a title push.

Saints strolled to a 5-1 win over Partick Thistle in their opener before grinding out a 1-0 win away to title rivals Ross County.

They also took topflight Motherwell to extra-time in the League Cup last weekend and Simo Valakari has them playing a nice brand of football.

Ayr were my each-way pick for the Championship title before a ball was kicked but I'm already regretting that bet after they got off to a terrible start.

So I've now had a punt on Saints topping the pile at 6/4 with bet365 and those odds will probably tumble if they keep up their fine form.

Arbroath come to Perth today and McBookie price St Johnstone at just 4/11.
