ARYNA SABALENKA survived a huge scare against the world No.104 to reach her third Wimbledon semifinal.

- YASMIN SYED

The No.1 seed won five of the last six games to beat Laura Siegemund 4-6 6-2 6-4.

Before the match, Sabalenka called the German (right) a “tricky player” and she was right.

Siegemund, 37, won over the Centre Court crowd with her clever volleys and slices. But three-time Major winner Sabalenka came through in just under three hours.

She said: "I was really well-prepared for her game, for the way she's taking time and everything. I was really mentally prepared for that.

"But, of course, inside I was struggling because she was playing a really smart game.
