Rugby Scots aim to be national heroes
SCOTLAND assistant coach Pete Horne has hailed the “awesome” achievement of the national football team in qualifying for the World Cup.
And after Sunday’s home defeat by Argentina ended in the team being booed off the pitch, he admits the squad are itching to take a big scalp again like Steve Clarke's squad did.
Scotland take on Tonga at Murrayfield on Sunday in a game they are expected to win easily. The squad has been together all month at Oriam outside Edinburgh, and they watched the Denmark decider together on Tuesday night.
Horne said: “The coaches planned training and got through a fair bit of stuff so that we could watch the game.
“We missed the first half an hour and then tuned in after that.
