RORY'S SPOT OF BOTHER IN TESTIMONIAL
Daily Record
|July 05, 2025
RORY MCKENZIE missed a penalty in his testimonial but was bailed out by Greg Kiltie as Kilmarnock secured bragging rights over their rivals.
The 31-year-old’s golden chance in the game in his honour came late in the first half.
New Ayr keeper David Mitchell produced a great stop to spoil the party.
But Mitchell himself went from hero to villain for the Honest Men as his blunder gifted Kiltie the game’ only goal a minute into the second period.
Even penalty pain could not take the shine off the love for McKenzie as he ‘was lauded by fans at rainlashed Rugby Park.
