Charles-Cook is loving Fir Park freedom as Askou's revolution is dazzling Premiership opposition
IT'S the pick and mix approach by Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou which has Regan Charles-Cook spoiled for choice.
For the first time in the Fir Park winger's career, he has been handed licence to roam with a freedom of expression which has made football fun again.
A three-goal win over Livingston on Saturday made it eight on the spin without defeat for the Lanarkshire side who continue to excel under their Danish gaffer.
He made seven changes from the side which had drawn at Falkirk but the extensive surgery was seamless from start to finish.
Charles-Cook believes there is method in the madness from his manager as he deploys an assortment of systems with variety the key.
He said: "The manager's setup is crazy. As you can see, it's lovely to play in. It's so dynamic.
"Usually I'm a winger out wide but I'm floating in the centre these days, so it's a change and it's a good development for me. It's also a great development for the team.
"We want to get up, get turned and drive at the defences, pick holes and play passes through.
"We scored three but we probably could have got maybe four or five.
