The Slovenian powered past Mathieu van der Poel and Jonas Vingegaard for an 18th Tour stage win as he moved level on time with Van der Poel.
The Dutchman kept the yellow jersey on count-back, with Vingegaard now eight seconds off ahead of today’s time trial.
