DEREK MCINNES vows high-flying Hearts will keep fighting themselves to improve in the face of Celtic's huge advantages.

The Tynecastle team soared eight points clear in the title race after sinking the champions yesterday.

McInnes' boys celebrated a famous win and the Jambos faithful are now starting to dream of a genuine bid for the crown. The manager has made it crystal clear that it remains early days in the battle and there's no one inside the camp doing any dreaming.

Instead, McInnes wants to see more improvements and is adamant they are going to come with some January additions in the pipeline to strengthen the squadas he knows he needs them with the Hoops still holding big-spending power advantages.

The gaffer is playing down title talk and said: Tm keeping a lid on it.

"I think there's still improvement in us, to be honest. I do think there's a bit more in us.

"We've got good strength in the squad.

"My bench is strong. The boys in the stand who were not involved in this match are training at a good level.

"We've got one or two things lined up for January.
