Numbers in social care limbo soar

THE estimated number of Scots to be waiting on an assessment for a package of social care has risen by almost 25 per cent since last year, according to data.
Public Health Scotland figures yesterday reveal that, as of September 8, 10,897 people were waiting on social care assessments.
