Anfield schooling meant Stephenson relished battle with on-form Kyziridis
DUNDEE UNITED wingback Luca Stephenson admits rubbing shoulders with the best players on the planet at Liverpool meant he was never going to be worried about trying to tame Alexandros Kyziridis.
The 22-year-old faced one of the hardest jobs in Scottish football on Sunday in keeping the Hearts winger in check - with Kyziridis having racked up five goals and five assists for the table-toppers.
And while Kyziridis was involved in the Hearts goal from a corner kick routine that saw United keeper Yevhenii Kucherenko score an own goal, Stephenson can be pleased with his own contribution.
Not only did the on-loan Reds man succeed in keeping Kyziridis quiet, he also chipped in with his team's deserved equalising goal in the 1-1 draw at Tynecastle.
