NIKOLAY TODOROV came off the bench to sink his old side in Arbroath's 1-0 win over Airdrie - then vowed to help make Gayfield a fortress.

The Bulgarian tapped in midway through the second half to inflict a debut defeat on Diamonds boss Danny Lennon.

Striker Todorov said: "We all worked really hard, especially in the last 10 minutes to protect that lead. But three points at home is good. We want to make it a really tough place for coming up here.

"We did that and showed our quality."
