Mel Gibson's claymore up for auction

A SWORD wielded by Mel Gibson as William Wallace in Braveheart is set go under the hammer.

The claymore from the Oscar-winning movie is expected to fetch up to £10,000 at auction.

The longsword was seen throughout the 1995 flick based on the 13th-century freedom fighter's life.

It is being sold at Propstore's Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in Hollywood on March 26.
