Maddison agony as season ends before it begins

SPURS have been rocked by news that playmaker James Maddison is set to miss most of the season with a horror injury.
The attacking midfielder ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in Sunday's 1-1 friendly draw with Newcastle in Seoul and was stretchered off.
Scans have confirmed the 28-year-old’s season is now all but over as he goes under the knife on a long road to recovery.
