DONALD Trump yesterday sent a message to anti-government demonstrators in Iran urging them to keep up the fight against the Tehran regime.

Posting on his Truth Social platform, the US President wrote: "Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING-TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! "Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price.

"I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protestors STOPS.

HELP IS ON ITS WAY." Trump also announced countries doing business with Iran will face 25 per cent tariffs "effective immediately" from the United States.

As an Iranian government official admitted at least 2000 have died in the bloody protests, including more than 100 security officials, there are fears mass executions could follow.

The death toll estimates trebled overnight amid reports of summary street executions, troops shooting into crowds and people bludgeoned to death by police with rifle butts.
