Findlay: I went to Celtic Park with Killie top of the league and we were 4-0 down at half-time. I understand how dangeorus an animal they are

STUART FINDLAY talks from experience when he says Hearts can't get ahead of themselves - or they'll risk a belt in the mouth from Celtic.

The big defender was part of a Kilmarnock side that led the Premiership going into a tussle with the Hoops in December 2018 - only to get hit with a bunch of fives in a 5-1 thumping.

Seven years on and he reckons Brendan Rodgers side will be making their way across to the capital tomorrow desperate to silence the excitement sweeping through Gorgie right now.

But while the 30-year-old may be too wise to get caught in any title talk, he does believe the Jambos can land a dull one on the champions to stretch their lead at the summit to eight points.

To do that he insists his teammates must carry out Derek McInnes' game plan to perfection - just like the did when flooring Rangers at Ibrox and derby rivals Hibs on their last outing at Tynecastle.

Findlay said: "The manager earned the boys' trust straight away.

"When you pick up results straight off the bat, it's very easy to buy into these sort of things.

"We've got full belief in the way he'll set us up for such a big occasion.
