Hibs boss: I didn't fear boot after Saints horror show but I need to start winning
DAVID GRAY never feared being sacked after Hibs were beaten by St Mirren at a toxic Easter Road a fortnight ago.
But the rookie boss knows the board's public vote of confidence that followed those ugly scenes in Leith carried a warning that results must turn and quickly.
Hibs sit bottom of the Premiership table with just one win and eight points from 12 league games.
And the fury that spilled down from the stands after that last outing against Saints carried an "end of days" feel.
But Gray was publicly backed by the board two days later after discussions between the boss, the club hierarchy and Bill Foley's Black Knight investors.
He knows he has to deliver - starting with this evening's trip to face Dundee, followed by a Tuesday night clash at home to Aberdeen then an away meeting with Motherwell next Saturday.
