Irn-Bru considers second recipe change

THE makers of Irn-Bru could be forced to change the drink's recipe for a second time in seven years due to the sugar tax.
AG Barr said it would “carefully review" the implications of UK Health Secretary Wes Streeting's announcement this week that soft drinks with a sugar content of at least 4.5g per 100ml would now be liable for higher taxes.
The previous limit was 5g per 100ml.
The fizzy drink’s recipe was reformulated in 2018 when the sugar tax, also known as the soft drinks industry levy, was brought in by the then Tory government.
