Evans's new travel show airs amid sex quip shame
THE BBC is backing Wynne Evans by giving him a primetime slot on its main channel, despite his sexual outburst shame.
Insiders at the corporation have privately described the timing of the new travel show with Joanna Page as "deeply unfortunate".
The first episode of Wynne & Joanna: All at Sea aired last night on BBC1, just days after he was forced to apologise having been filmed using the offensive term "spitroast".
His crude quip during a Strictly tour photo call was allegedly directed towards professional dancer and It Takes Two host Janette Manrara.
Evans said later: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise."
The opera singer, 53, was given a warning over his future behavior. He has also stepped back from his BBC Wales radio show for the time being.
