Mulligan desperate for World Cup call

LIKE everyone else in the country, Josh Mulligan was on his feet, shouting and celebrating as Scotland booked their spot at the World Cup.

Unlike most of the nation, he was also dreaming of playing a key role when the tournament rolls around.

Called into Steve Clarke's squad for the previous qualifier against Belarus, he was an unused sub.

But getting so close to the action heightened his desire to return and make an even bigger impact.

The Hibs midfielder said: “I was just in the house. It was brilliant, honestly. I was screaming the house down.

“That was some game, wasn't it? That was unbelievable. The lads were so good in that game.

“To see them celebrating at the end, you want to be a part of that.
