I want mum out of my life - but what is it that stops me?

I HOPE this doesn’t sound dramatic but I'm thinking of cutting my mum out of my life, as I can’t deal with her behaviour any longer.

I'm in my 30s with my own children and being a mum has made me realise what an awful mother she’s been, and she’s still awful.

My childhood was a car crash - my dad left when I was five, my mum drank too much and left me with aunties and neighbours all the time, so she could go on dates with men.

She was supercritical of me ~ judging everything from my appearance to my life choices - and she’ still the same now.
