HOLTING ON TO PROMOTION MEMORIES

JASON HOLT knows all about the pressure of expectancy in this league after helping Hearts and Rangers to Championship silverware.

And he reckons St Johnstone will need to deal with similar stresses to return to the big time.

Holt played the first half of the campaign in 2014-15 as Jambos jumped right back to the top flight under Robbie Neilson.

After spending the second half on loan at Sheffield United, he moved to Ibrox.

Holt netted 12 goals as Mark Warburton’s men topped a division in which Hibs, St Mirren, Falkirk and Livingston featured.

The 32-year-old believes it is a tough section this time around after the Perth club and Ross County dropped down.
