HOLIDAY BUG PUT OUR WEE BOYS IN HOSPITAL

A FAMILY holiday to Turkey turned into a “nightmare” when two brothers fell seriously ill and were rushed to hospital.
Abby Oakes, 25, from Airdrie, landed in Antalya with her partner, Darrie McGowan, their boys and her parents for their first family trip abroad together.
However, just one day into the holiday, Theo, six, woke up with a high temperature and cough.
His asthma made his condition particularly worrying, leading the resort doctor to send him to hospital.
Doctors diagnosed him with bronchitis and croup.
He was admitted and put on IV antibiotics, fluids, antihistamines, oxygen, steroids and nebulisers.
But as Theo returned to the hotel the following day, Blake, one, suddenly became seriously unwell.
He too was rushed to hospital where he was diagnosed with croup, a raised white blood cell count and pressure on his lungs.
