No Minnie triumph for legendary racing operation

DARYZ downed Minnie Hauk in the shadow of Longchamp’s winning post for a Prix de I'Arc de Triomphe success that triggered raw emotion.

The winner carried the cherished green and red silks of the Aga Khan, a true giant of the turf and four-time Arc winner who died in February at the age of 88.

And he provided a first victory in Europe's middle-distance championship for Francis-Henri Graffard - the trainer who in just over a decade has established himself as French racing's dominant force - plus jockey Mickael Barzalona.
