Liverpool council probe: 12 are due in court
DEREK Hatton, the former deputy leader of Liverpool council, has been charged along with the city's former mayor Joe Anderson in a corruption investigation.
Ten others also face charges in a probe into the council.
Hatton, 77, who held the position in the 80s and was a known militant figure on the Labour left, is charged with bribery and counsel or procure misconduct in a public office.
