Falkirk gaffer McGlynn praises his players after they go toe to toe with the Premiership big boys

LEARNING on the job is how John McGlynn described Falkirk's approach to life in the Premiership and a few new tricks of the trade are required after a draw with Dundee United.
The Bairns boss believes a point on the day they raised the Championship flag should have been three had the top flight's new boys been more ruthless.
Falkirk twice came back from a goal behind as Dylan Tait levelled Max Watters' opener and Ethan Ross replied to Ivan Dolcek's strike.
McGlynn admits his players must get wise to what's required to win games amongst the big boys.
He said: "We don't have our eyes closed about the fact the margins are finer in the Premiership. It's about making better use of the opportunities we had.
"We will look to learn from that but there are so many positives to take. We went toe to toe with a good Dundee United team and our players will take a lot of belief from that. I'm very proud of the players.
"If we are being greedy then I think over the piece we did enough to win the game.
"We took the game to Dundee United from the first whistle and managed to get into good positions without actually getting anything from them.
"Maybe a better final ball and not having so many combinations at the edge of the box and getting more shots away as there were plenty of opportunities to get shots away.
We found ourselves a goal down and it was a bit harsh as they created the best chance of the half, we had managed to get some great positions but hadn't been able to take advantage.
