Glazers settling at £5bn for Reds amid bid rumour

THE Glazers would consider offers of more than £5billion for their stake in Manchester United - more than double what the club is worth on the stock market.
Speculation was mounting that Saudi billionaire Turki Al-Sheikh had launched a takeover bid for United.
But Turki would have to start the bidding at around £5.2bn to stand a realistic chance of persuading the Glazers to sell up - and last night he insisted he was NOT involved in any new move or investment.
