Festival chiefs blast punk fans for 'appalling 'Death to the IDF' shout Streeting hits out at bands... but says Israel must put house in order

- BY MARK JEFFERIES and SOPHIE HUSKISSON

GLASTONBURY organisers and the BBC were forced to apologise after punk band Bob Vylan chanted "death to the IDF" during their set at the festival.

Singer Bobby Vylan led the crowd in the chants which "crossed a line" at the West Holts stage on Saturday as the gig was live-streamed by the Beeb's iPlayer.

Police are probing the incident, branded "appalling" by Health Secretary Wes Streeting, who also told Israel to "get its own house in order".

He said it was "pretty revolting" that people are responding to the Israel-Hamas conflict by cheering on one side or the other like it's a football team.

He said: "The BBC and Glastonbury have got questions to answer about how we saw such a spectacle."
