George too ill for court on historic child 'rape'

Barry George was excused
THE man wrongly convicted of killing BBC star Jill Dando was too ill to appear in court on historical child sex offence charges yesterday.
Barry George, 65, is accused of one count of rape and two of indecent assault against a 14-year-old girl some 38 years ago.
George spent eight years in jail for the 1999 shooting of Jill, 37, before being freed when he was acquitted after a retrial.
