French president & his wife sue US star over gender claims

EMMANUEL Macron and his wife are preparing to present photographic and scientific evidence before a US court to prove that France's First Lady is a woman.

The French president, 47, and his spouse have launched legal proceedings against right-wing US commentator Candace Owens, who has repeatedly promoted a conspiracy theory that Brigitte, 72, was born male.

Owens' lawyers have filed a motion to dismiss the case.

The Macrons' US lawyer, Tom Clare, said family photographs and expert testimony would help refute the allegations. “She has found the claims incredibly upsetting,” Clare said.
