Attack 'likely’ in shooting aftermath
THE terror threat level in Northern Ireland has been raised from substantial to severe, meaning an attack is highly likely.
The MI5 assessment follows a rise in dissident republican activity, including a murder bid on a top police officer.
Announcing the change yesterday, Northern Ireland Secretary Chris HeatonHarris blamed a small number of individuals who are determined to use "politically motivated violence".
